Marine Aquarium

We have a huge selection of marine fish available at Marine World Aquatics so choosing the pets for your individual tank or tanks can be, in one sense, difficult because there are just so many options! They also have different requirements regarding such things as feeding, whether they are friendly to other fish, how big they grow, and so on. Our staff can help you make the right decision for your individual circumstances.

One example of a stunning fish is the surgeon fish for sale that we can offer, also known as tangs. Take a look at the powder blue tang which has a bright blue body with white anal and pectoral fins and a bright yellow dorsal fin. Quite an amazing creature to have in your tank.

The tangs are also known as surgeon fish because they have a scalpel at the bottom of the tail fin which they use to attack opponents. Normally, the surgeon fish lives very happily with other occupants of the tank, with one exception. That is another surgeon fish! They are territorial creatures, and a surgeon fish will fight to the death with what it considers to be an interloper. So, basically, you can only have one surgeon fish, unless you have a very large tank indeed.

Corals

Corals are also a fabulous addition to any tank, and we have many different varieties of corals for sale in the UK. In fact, you can choose from over 50 different species. Corals are actually living creatures which anchor themselves to rock or the sea-bed. They are actually the longest-living creatures on earth, some living as long as 5,000 years! They date back as much as 160 million years so were around at the time of the dinosaurs.

Corals are available in an amazing range of colours and styles. Take the Daisy coral which comes in a bright blue or green and looks exactly like a bunch of – well – daisies! You might like the Dragon Soul which has long waving tentacles in a yellowish-green colour with a white tip. Or there is the Maze coral which grows somewhat like the maze at Hampton Court Palace.

When choosing the occupants of your tank, don’t forget our packages. These consist of groups of snails such as the Turbo snail and Nassarius snail, hermit crabs, cleaner shrimp, and so on, all of which will help your tank to thrive.
